If the biggest and the best are high on your winter getaway “must haves” then a ski trip to Whistler should top your list. With 8,171 skiable acres, a Whistler ski vacation offers nearly 1,000 more acres of skiing than the second-largest ski resort in North America: Park City Mountain Resort. Despite its enormity, it’s quite easy to navigate thanks to the resort’s PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola which connects Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain via the world’s largest, unsupported cable car.
Whistler Blackcomb offers the most uphill capacity and sees nearly 2 million visitors a year. Incredible Tyrolean-style base villages, which are divided into the main Village, Upper Village and Creekside provide guests with a range of dining, lodging, après-ski bars, shopping and nightlife options to fit every ski vacation preference.
In comparison to other famed North American ski destinations, Whistler is extremely easy to get to from anywhere in the world, thanks to its close vicinity to Vancouver International Airport.

Get ready to ski your buns off! Whistler Blackcomb ski resort expands over 200-plus trails on 8,171 acres. The longest trail is Peak to Creek and lasts for 6.8 miles and descends more than 5,000 vertical feet. While Whistler's sheer size may seem intimidating to some skiers, especially newer ones, there’s truly no need. Whistler Blackcomb is comprised of nearly 20 percent beginner terrain, even at the top of the mountain. If exceptional views and high alpine bowl skiing sound appealing, then there’s no better place to learn to ski or further develop the skills you already have. Intermediate skiers will think they’ve died and gone to heaven at Whistler Blackcomb, as they get to enjoy over 55 percent of this massive resort—including from the top of Whistler Mountain's summit.
Whistler is renowned as an aggressive mountain with tons of expert terrain options, so expert skiers looking to step it up a notch can conquer chutes, couloirs, steep bowls, huge cliffs and technical glades, and the former 2010 Olympic Downhill race courses.
Terrain park enthusiasts will be "stoked" on Whistler’s Nintendo Terrain Parks, with 200-plus features spread out over three designated park zones—two at Blackcomb, Nintendo Terrain Park and Big Easy Terrain Garden, and one at Whistler, Habitat Terrain Park. Every jibber from beginner to expert will have a blast on Whistler’s terrain parks.

Awesome Skiing
Skiing and village experience were great! We made prior dinner reservations and enjoyed the people so much!
Amazing Mtn
The mountain is amazing. The variety of terrain is impressive. The Blackcomb Glacier to the ice cave was a trip highlight as was the 6.8 mile run on Creek to Peak. Visibility was a bit of an issue at times, the top tends to get really socked in, but still an enjoyable trip. The eatery selections both on and off mountain were great, the village is charming. We will definitely be returning.
This is our second year in a row skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb and we are obsessed!!!
The ski instructors are absolutely amazing! They are so friendly and helpful and excellent teachers. We love the groomed runs, quick lifts and everything about the mountains!

great place, but the snow was just not there this december
its a great mountain but the snow was to there and the mountain was only 40% open, so it was not a lot of fun skiing with all the other skiers crowded on the same runs. When the mountain has full coverage tho its the very best.
boys ski trip
we were 8 retired fireman on the trip and it was great whistler blackcomb was everything we expected great conditions great town and great people will defenitly be back
Amazing for Families
Our kids (6 & 7) had the best experience at ski school! Instructions were young, energetic and brought them to another level in just one day! The mountain does so much for family entertainment....2 nights there were family activities (crafts, photo booth, face painting) and an area with carved out for sledding (we did have to buy a $30 sled, but if you can bring your own). Restaurants were family friendly and kids loved waffles at Hot Buns (plus that it was safe for peanut allergic son although it did have tree nuts in the shop).
Had a great time!
2nd time staying at the Legends. Love that it is so convenient to everything. The condo was very clean and loved having a washer and dryer in the room. Will go back again!!!
Whistler - Love it!
Whistler has something for everyone. Should you want someplace a little more compact and cozy check out Creekside, Whistler's original base area. it is fabulous and really under appreciated. If you want to learn a little bit about the First Nation culture - check out the Squamish Lil'Wat Cultural Center in Village North across from the Fairmont. Or if you are feeling a little more aventuresome and need a ski break - take a zipline tour or two. I have now done both the Eagle and the Bear which operate during the winter months.Good

Something for everyone
Whistler is one of the rare ski resorts that will comfortably accommodate anyone. From 5 star lodging to more affordable condo options. From families to young adults looking for a great club scene. The slopes vary widely from easy beginner terrain to expert skiing. There is something for everyone! If you are not a skier you can always take a trip to the Scandinave spa or spend your days shopping, visiting museums or site seeing. Think of Whistler for your next ski trip, there is something for everyone!Excellent

Whistler in March
NR
NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NRWhen you hit it right, Whistler is absolutely the best ski resort in the world. I have been to Europe, I have been to South America and I live in Colorado. We received 40 plus inches in the week I was there in March. It was in centimeters so I may be underestimating it a little. All I know is that it was deep everywhere. I snowboarded the first day with our excellent guide, Steve, who works with the mountain. He took us on some excellent blue runs in the morning on the Whistler side with our group of 9. We then flew on the Peak to Peak gondola to the Blackcomb side in a matter of minutes where this used to take 2 hours or more. Some of the group split off and we did Spanky's Ladder and another run called the Chimney were a hike of less than 10 minutes got us to untracked terrain and descents that were super steep. Comes out to a long cat track and you have to take two lifts to get back to where you started but well worth it. On Day 2, I switched to skiing, we had a half day with Steve and explored the mountain a little more eventually getting to Dusty's in Creekside, a hidden local's gem of a bar. We saw lots and lots of condos and hotels in between the skiing so call me to talk more about that. I stayed a little longer than my co-workers and that is when the snow started to fall in earnest. On Day 3 of skiing I only went in the afternoon because the morning was rain and basically unskiable . The afternoon it turned to snow again and we found untracked snow everywhere. Day 4 the skies opened up and only a few inches fell at the resort so we had booked a heli trip and got the green light. 5 runs of heart stopping excitement. This is another post...another time....Day 5 in Whistler was epic. Another 7 inches and the Blue Sky Stormy day. As in, blue skies into white out conditions and back and forth like that probably 3 or 4 times. This day was better than the heli if you can believe that. I could go on and on. But that is how the trip ended. We flew out of Vancouver Sunday morning. Stayed at the Fairmont Airport hotel. The best place to get a jump on the long security lines to get back to the states....
I stayed the 2nd part of my trip at the Coast Blackcomb. It was a perfect hotel for some. Budget, breakfast, ski in and out, great hot tub scene.
Call me to book for next year!
Great Skiing and Lots of activites

NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NR NRWhistler is one of those resorts that offers great skiing and a vibrant town full of restaurants, shopping and nightlife. It is a huge mountain with great skiing for all levels. The beginner area is located mid-mountain, which means new skiers get to take the gondola up instead of just being at the base. There is plenty of wide open intermediate terrain, and there's great expert terrain that you can hike to or find right on the mountain. Town has so much to choose from: everything from casual dining to sushi to fine dining. They also have lots of original shops that you won't find anywhere else and some more well known shops also.
You can also choose from many additional activities like zip-lining, spa trips and heli-skiing.
