The River Mountain Lodge gives you the convenience and comforts of a condominium (with hotel amenities) in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge. The lodge is located across the street from the end of the 4 O'Clock Run at the corner of Park Avenue and Ski Hill Road. Just ski down, walk across the street and you're home! Just one block from Main Street Breckenridge and a short shuttle ride to the gondola or the Peak 9 base, the River Mountain Lodge is the perfect combination of mountain serenity and convenience.
The lobby features the Fireside Lounge, the perfect place to gather for apres-ski in front of a wood-burning fireplace. All guests enjoy underground parking with elevator access, a fitness center, an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs. And of course, there's complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the building.

River Mountain Lodge needs some repairs
This was the fourth time we stayed at River Mountain Lodge. The condo is very close town center and the restaurants, shops, and other activities. The Lodge is located at the base of 4 O'clock run and there is a bus stop right outside the front door. Unfortunately, it seems that the Home Owners Association is not maintaining the facility as it has in the past. For example, the East wing Elevator had been out of service for 3 months (January, February, and into March). For visitors that snow ski or snow board this is a significant issue because it requires carrying all of the luggage, skis, etc., up 2 to 3 flights of stairs and making that walk multiple times a day in ski boots with poles, etc. Also some of the room homeowners seemed to avoid needed repairs and there is no way to know which rooms have been well maintained. Although the rooms are touted to have a microwave and mini fridge it applies to some rooms and not all of them. Again, there is no way to know that without contacting RML and asking them specifically about that room which is difficult if you do not know which room we have been assigned prior to arrival.

Nice place
Rooms are out dated but didn't really go to sit in the room so didn't care about that too much. The diner downstairs was awesome!!!! Staff was helpful and nice. It claims to be a ski in, ski out but I would not call it that. It's about 2 blocks away from the base of peak 9.

Clean, convenient and friendly
The Lodge was clean and the people were friendly. We had a hiccup when we first got there check in was supposed to be at 4. We arrived around 2ish and hoped the room might be ready for us but it wasn't. We were asked to leave a number to be reached once the room would be ready. Never received a call. At 4:30 we followed up and the room was still not ready @ 4:40 they gave us the keys and when we arrived at our room housekeeping was still inside cleaning the room. Overall it was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Staying at the River Mountain Lodge just makes you smile.
You've saved a ton of money and you are staying in the center of Breckenridge. Park free and walk out the back door over the beautiful Blue River and you have restaurants, activities, night life and the electric Breckenridge atmosphere right in front of you. Oktoberfest, Santa Run, Dew Fest, Ullr Parade and more are all right there!
The accommodations are not 5 star but very clean and comfortable. I can find the perfect room for you and show you the pictures. You have an outdoor heated pool, many hot tubs, and a lively lounge!
Your day: Walk 1.5 blocks to the gondola or take a town shuttle to the lift. Ski all day and your last run brings you down to the River Mountain Lodge front door on the Four O'Clock ski trail. Give your skis to the ski concierge, hit the hot tubs, have a drink in front of the large wood-burning fireplace in the lobby lounge and plan your evening!!
