Gorgeous five-star hotel in the heart of Saas Fee
Built in 2015, the Capra gives a glimpse into the future of five star hotels in Saas-Fee. On my recent visit to Saas-Fee, I was able to tour the Capra, and completely fell in love with the modern, contemporary décor and style that exudes from the hotel. Though it’s only two years old at the time of my visit and this review, there is a spa renovation that’s expected to be completed in the summer of 2017, which will only add the beauty and relaxation that this hotel provides.
There are two buildings in the Capra, one of which houses 14 suites, and the other 10 – so you’re guaranteed to have personalized service and a quiet stay. All the rooms have a balcony, and are upscale and amenity-laden. I was delighted to learn that all the kitchen staff are Swiss themselves – and the kitchen staff is led by an award-winning chef! There is a really fun game room for kids and teens, equipped with DVDs, PlayStations, and more. For the fitness fanatics, the Capra has a yoga room and a small fitness center, which will expand with the upcoming renovation.
The Capra felt like a private chalet to me, as it was so quiet, clean, and contemporary, and each staff member delivered the kind of individual service I would expect from a five-star property. The newest hotel in Saas-Fee does not disappoint – I highly recommend the Capra for your next trip to Saas-Fee!
Luxury in in an Alpine Village.
From the moment I arrived, the Capra hotel was a boutique luxury experience. This small 14-suite hotel felt personal at every level. The Junior and Signature Suites are very generous in size with beautiful appointments, large balconies with panoramic views and wonderful in-room amenities. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and met every need. A quick two-minute ride to the hotels private skiers lounge at the chair lift base area made skiing a breeze.
The hotel offers half board dinner inclusive packages with a dine-around plan, including a Michelin star option at no additional cost. The hotel is completing construction of a full service spa with in/outdoor pools, which is rare for alpine resorts. They definitely welcome families and have great amenities for the young traveler. This hotel was a highlight of our trip, along with the fantastic skiing and friendly people. Looking forward to my return.
AMAZING HOTEL IN BEAUTIFUL SAAS FEE
Beautiful, elegant, top-notch service and a great location all describe the wonderful Capra Hotel that I had the privilege of staying at while in Saas Fee in March 2017. The service was outstanding, the staff anticipated my every need without asking. The suites all provide a lovely living area and the bathrooms were very modern with touch controls on the bath tub and a wonderful separate shower. The breakfast was one of the best I had in Switzerland, offering a beautiful buffet of meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, yogurt, fruit and granola plus an offering of a la'carte menu items. Simply delicious!
I highly recommend the 5-star Capra for those who want an unforgettable experience in Saas Fee while skiing the incredible mountain and enjoying the quaint cobble stone town.
