Getting to Portillo

Located just a two hour drive from Chile’s Santiago international airport, Portillo is one of South America’s most conveniently accessed ski resorts. Once you’ve arrived in Santiago, you can take a shuttle bus or rent a car. Renting a car in Chile is a good idea if you plan on visiting several ski resorts, but if you plan on staying at Portillo for the duration of your ski trip, you won’t require a car. Shuttles from Santiago are in inexpensive alternative and much more comfortable in the event of inclement weather or traffic.
