Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Sleeping up to 12 guests, this 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom log cabin home is a picturesque retreat with ski-in/ski-out access—only minutes from dining and shopping at Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Village. Imagine cozy nights lounging by the wood-burning fireplace, soaking in the hot tub surrounded by towering evergreens, or sipping cocktails on the upper deck and watching the wildlife.

Modern design pairs with mountain aesthetics inside this cozy 3-level retreat. The main level hosts a combined living, dining, and kitchen space decorated with atmospheric grays and warm leather and wood accents. A contemporary wood stove sits between the plush sectional couch and large armchair, inviting guests to kick back with an evening cocktail and appreciate the view of snow-frosted evergreens out the picture windows. In the Summer, delight in outdoor activities such as fly fishing on the Gallatin or exploring the nearby upper Beehive Basin Trailhead—a beautiful 6.5-mile-long hike. During the Ski season, adventure is never far with quick access to the Cabin Lift and Big Sky Resort’s 5,850 skiable acres. Located on the Moonlight Basin side of the resort, Saddle Ridge Townhomes are a three-story complex that is cozy, yet elegant. Guests at Saddle Ridge enjoy peace and quiet with Lone Mountain rising up in the west and the Spanish Peaks glistening to the north. The property is ski-in/ski-out or slopeside to both Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort via the Iron Horse Chairlift, which is in front of the Moonlight Lodge. Amenities include: Private outdoor hot tubs, washer-dryer, a full kitchen, living,and dining areas. A private 4x4 vehicle is suggested for transportation.

Summertime guests enjoy many outdoor activities for such as fly fishing on the Gallatin River, mountain biking, hiking and much more. Ousel Falls is a nearby waterfall with a short hike on a well-maintained park trail. For those looking for more adventure, Beehive Basin is a day hike offering some of the best wildflower viewing in the lower 48 and rewarding hikers with a picturesque alpine lake. Spanish Peaks Mountain Club also features an 18-hole Tom Weiskopf championship golf course.

Located in Gateway, the newest development in Moonlight Basin, this 3-bedroom condo sits on the slopes of Big Sky Resort near the Stagecoach chairlift for easy ski access and sweeping views of the Spanish Peaks mountain range. An open-concept living area greets guests with seamless flow between the sitting area, dining room and gourmet kitchen. Two elegant armchairs and a full-size sofa, which unfolds into a queen bed, face a stacked-stone fireplace and large-screen TV, inviting cozy evenings after a day of adventures. Blue Grouse Hills is the perfect year-round location for a quiet family retreat to Big Sky, abutting rolling sagebrush and forested hills near Town Center. This quaint neighborhood features a small handful of townhome duplexes styled on the exterior as log cabins with all the comforts of home inside—and lots of outdoor living space for lawn games or playing in the yard. Big Sky Town Center is a 10-minute walk or short drive, where guests will find many of our favorite local shops, restaurants, groceries, and nightlife. Other nearby activities include fly-fishing and rafting on the Gallatin River, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 45-minute drive to the south, most of which is through the scenic northwest corner of the park and Gallatin National Forest.
