Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Under the same roof are restaurants, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and the Solace Spa. The Huntley Lodge includes convenient access to an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness center.

In the sitting area, a wraparound leather sofa and 2 country armchairs frame a soaring stone fireplace and TV for cozy nights inside after a day on the mountain. Steps away, high-end appliances and a gas range in the kitchen make it simple to prepare a delicious meal for 4 to share in the light-filled dining area, with 3 extra spots at the bar. Feel free to pack light and take advantage of the convenient laundry room. As the day ends, the primary bedroom with a king bed provides a tranquil spot for rest.

Perched on a hillside overlooking Big Sky’s Mountain Village, Hunt’s View offers unobstructed mountain views and direct access to the ski slopes from the Cascade chairlift with two groomed ski run options. Ideal for large groups or extended families, this three-level home has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With over 4,000 square feet of living space, the home offers plenty of space to relax both indoors and out, including a private deck overlooking Lone Peak with a BBQ grill and outdoor seating. Styled in mountain-modern decor, this custom home features top-of-the-line appliances, granite countertops, a Sonos sound system, Apple TV on all TVs and a game room. Natural light streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, creating an inviting atmosphere on the main level, which features a seamless flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas. Comfy sofas and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room invite guests to relax after a day on the mountain, while a cozy breakfast bar allows for catching up over hot cocoa or a glass of wine in the gourmet kitchen. The master suite enjoys privacy as the only bedroom on the main level. This room features a king-sized bed, en-suite bath, and views of Lone Peak. Four other bedrooms are located on the lower level. A bonus room on the upper level features a game table, flat-screen TV, Xbox, wet bar, and mini-fridge, giving kids their own space to play. A family room on the lower level offers even more space to relax, with direct access to a lower-level patio with a private hot tub with views of the towering pines just outside and ski slopes in the distance. In addition to prime ski access, Hunt’s View is also ideally situated to enjoy Big Sky’s summer activities. Hop on the Beehive Basin Trailhead, a 3-minute drive, or explore lift-served hiking and biking at the Big Sky base area, accessible in less than 5 minutes. Restaurants, nightlife, shopping and entertainment in downtown Big Sky are 10 minutes away. A 2-car garage allows you to easily explore the area. Please note that 4-wheel drive vehicles are necessary during winter season.

Guests can choose to dine in the large dining area or outside on the large wraparound deck with ceiling heaters. Other amenities include a house-wide Sonos sound system and two home theater systems, two sets of washer/dryers, an outdoor gas fire pit, large gas grill, 8-person outdoor hot tub, separate ski/gear room, and 2-car garage.

The main level hosts a combined living, dining, and kitchen space decorated with atmospheric grays and warm leather and wood accents. A contemporary wood stove sits between the plush sectional couch and large armchair, inviting guests to kick back with an evening cocktail and appreciate the view of snow-frosted evergreens out the picture windows. A wooden dining table for 6 separates the living space from the kitchen, equipped with high-end appliances and an island seating 3. Marrying modern architecture with a cozy mountain-home atmosphere, Tanager House is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath Silvertip cabin offering a light-filled, wood-and-glass escape with sweeping views of the surrounding Madison Mountain Range, including Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks. With direct access to a groomed, novice-friendly ski trail, which takes you directly to the Madison Base Area and Six-Shooter high-speed chairlift, Tanager House is ideal for skiers of all levels. In the summer, explore hiking and mountain-biking trails at Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Built in 2015 and named by Architectural Digest among the world’s “9 Most Beautiful Hotel Cabins,” the Silvertip enclave is a collection of unique luxury ski cabins featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood beams, mixed stone-and-wood facades, and angular mid-century inspired silhouettes. The living area flows into a 10-seat dining area with a custom granite table and gourmet, fully-equipped kitchen. A glass door leads to a private deck with expansive views, lounge chairs, BBQ grill, and private hot tub. The picturesque sunset views are truly unforgettable. The home has a laundry room and one-car garage with customized storage for your skiing/snowboarding/biking equipment in addition to your vehicle, so you can easily explore surrounding areas, including the Meadow Village and Yellowstone National Park. Please note that if you opt to pay the guest fee, you can access the private Moonlight Basin Club, and its gracious amenities.
