Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Under the same roof are restaurants, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and the Solace Spa. The Huntley Lodge includes convenient access to an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness center.

This 3-bedroom, 4.5-bath house is a ski accessible escape nestled on the wooded grounds of Moonlight Basin. Hardwood beams, vaulted ceilings, log furniture and mountain decor evoke the feeling of a classic ski lodge, while a gourmet kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and cozy living spaces makes this 2,600 square-foot residence feel like home. A two-story great room features two full-length sofas and a comfy armchair framing a wood-burning fireplace and large flat-screen TV for relaxing nights in, while a formal 8-seat dining table, set beneath an impressive cast-iron chandelier, allows families to gather around a home-cooked meal. With granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, the kitchen is sure to inspire the family chef. Three seats at the breakfast bar provide additional seating or a separate kids’ area. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal sweeping mountain views from a private wrap-around deck, which also features a four-seat table and chairs, gas grill, and private hot tub. The spacious master suite offers views of its own with a private balcony overlooking mountains and towering pine trees. In addition to a king-sized bed, this room features a plush loveseat facing a gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a soaker tub and separate shower. Two additional bedrooms are on the first floor, both featuring queen-sized beds and private bathrooms. A third-floor loft features two additional twin beds plus an additional trundle bed to comfortably sleep 10 total guests, as well as a full-length sofa, desk, flat-screen TV and private bath. From the main-level ski room, a private staircase leads to a groomed access trail for convenient ski access to Moonlight Basin or Big Sky Resort, giving each guest the freedom to hit the slopes, break for lunch, or start apres-ski at their leisure. Beyond the slopes, a one-car garage gives you the freedom to explore the shops, dining and entertainment in downtown Big Sky, a 5-10 minute drive away.
