Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Under the same roof are restaurants, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and the Solace Spa. The Huntley Lodge includes convenient access to an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness center.

There are also three levels of underground parking. Marrying modern architecture with a cozy mountain-home atmosphere, Tanager House is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath Silvertip cabin offering a light-filled, wood-and-glass escape with sweeping views of the surrounding Madison Mountain Range, including Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks. With direct access to a groomed, novice-friendly ski trail, which takes you directly to the Madison Base Area and Six-Shooter high-speed chairlift, Tanager House is ideal for skiers of all levels. In the summer, explore hiking and mountain-biking trails at Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Built in 2015 and named by Architectural Digest among the world’s “9 Most Beautiful Hotel Cabins,” the Silvertip enclave is a collection of unique luxury ski cabins featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood beams, mixed stone-and-wood facades, and angular mid-century inspired silhouettes. The living area flows into a 10-seat dining area with a custom granite table and gourmet, fully-equipped kitchen. A glass door leads to a private deck with expansive views, lounge chairs, BBQ grill, and private hot tub. The picturesque sunset views are truly unforgettable. The home has a laundry room and one-car garage with customized storage for your skiing/snowboarding/biking equipment in addition to your vehicle, so you can easily explore surrounding areas, including the Meadow Village and Yellowstone National Park. Please note that if you opt to pay the guest fee, you can access the private Moonlight Basin Club, and its gracious amenities.

Blue Grouse Hills is the perfect year-round location for a quiet family retreat to Big Sky, abutting rolling sagebrush and forested hills near Town Center. This quaint neighborhood features a small handful of townhome duplexes styled on the exterior as log cabins with all the comforts of home inside—and lots of outdoor living space for lawn games or playing in the yard. Big Sky Town Center is a 10-minute walk or short drive, where guests will find many of our favorite local shops, restaurants, groceries, and nightlife. Other nearby activities include fly-fishing and rafting on the Gallatin River, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 45-minute drive to the south, most of which is through the scenic northwest corner of the park and Gallatin National Forest.

Curl up by the wood-burning fireplace on the sofa and unwind watching flat screen TV. In a separate family area, play a game on the pool table. After a day of mountain adventure, gather around the six-seat dining table for a sit-down meal together, prepared in the charming country kitchen, complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Three stools at the breakfast bar offer ideal seating for morning coffee or you might prefer to step onto the private, furnished balcony for coffee with a view.

Sleeping 11 guests in Big Sky, Hobbit House is a peaceful 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom retreat, combining the serenity of a private home with the convenience of nearby amenities, like Big Sky Golf Course. Located on the 16th hole, a short walk from Town Center and the free ski shuttle, guests will love the feeling of a private escape with easy access to restaurants, shops, and other entertainment. The Settlement Cabin, located directly across the street from the clubhouse at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club, is the perfect home for a relaxing getaway at Big Sky resort. At the Spanish Peaks Clubhouse, guests can take advantage of ski-in, ski-out access via the Lewis and Clark high-speed quad lift on Spirit Mountain as well as the community pool, fitness center, tubing hill and much more. This 3,200 square foot Big Sky vacation rental is perfect for families and groups. The 5 bedroom home has a spacious deck off the main living room with gas grill and private hot tub. With ample seating and an outdoor fire pit, this is the ideal spot to entertain. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a gas range, with seating for 8 people at the dining table plus another 3 at the breakfast bar. The living room is located on the main level and has a wood-burning fireplace perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and has a king bed with an en-suite bath. There are two other bedrooms that both have a king bed and en-suite bath. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed with en-suite bath. The fifth bedroom has two full beds with trundles. There is also a bonus sleeping area in the loft with a twin daybed. A washer/dryer and two-car detached garage are also available, for your convenience. Please note that a temporary guest membership at the private Spanish Peaks Mountain Club is required for an additional fee, applied to persons 12 years and older.

Gray Owl Retreat is an unforgettable 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with sweeping mountain views that sleeps 10. This retreat is nestled on 1 acre of land surrounded by 15 acres of green space, and is home to elk, foxes, and abundant wildlife. Guests will love relaxing in the private outdoor spa, playing shuffleboard or ping pong in the game room or utilizing the golf hitting cage and basketball hoop in the summer.
